ispace Announces New Directors and Audit & Supervisory Board Members

ispace Welcomes 2 Audit & Supervisory Board Members to Further Strengthen its Corporate Governance Structure

TOKYO – June 30, 2023 – ispace, inc. (“ispace”) announced that, Founder & CEO Takeshi Hakamada was reappointed as Representative Director and CFO Jumpei Nozaki as Director, at the 13th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on June 28, 2023.

In addition, the following six individuals were reappointed as External Directors on the same date.

External Director: Tohru Akaura, General Partner & Co-Founder, Incubate Fund KK

External Director: Takashi Kuwauchi, Representative Director, jinjer Co., Ltd.

External Director: Kazuko Nakada, Representative Director, actuali inc.

External Director: Kojiro Hatada, President and CEO, Innovative Space Carrier Inc.

External Director: Takashi Makino, Advisor, IHI Corporation

Yuji Inoue and Yoshihide Todoroki will continue to serve as Audit & Supervisory Board Members of ispace. As Nozomi Oda, who had served as an Audit & Supervisory Board Member, resigned her position on the same date, Agasa Naito and Maki Setogawa were newly appointed as Audit & Supervisory Board Members.

Ms. Agasa Naito and Ms. Maki Setogawa have extensive knowledge in the field of corporate legal affairs based on their experience in various private companies, in addition to their specialized knowledge as lawyers, and will contribute to the establishment of a strong governance and management system for ispace.

ispace is currently working Mission 2 and Mission 3, with development ongoing for each mission.

“I intend to use the knowledge I have cultivated as a legal expert and my experience as an outside officer at other companies to do my utmost to audit the company,” said Agasa Naito, newly appointed External Audit & Supervisory Member. “With the protection of shareholders in mind, I will strive to build and strengthen governance and internal control systems from a fair and objective perspective as an independent officer.
